Veronica Dalton is currently a master's Student at Florida State University in the Textile and Apparel Entrepreneurship program with a focus in Sustainability and fashion design. She received her BA in Theater: Design and Production at Florida State University, with a focus in costume design. with minors in Political Science and Textile/Apparel Entrepreneurship. Veronica has a variety of goals post-graduation, mainly she would like to work as a designer and focus on a circular model of design to create a more sustainable and ethical environment within both the costume and fashion industries.
Veronica is very environmentally focused and each of her collections and design products are based on her eco-conscious stance. She spent the past summer studying sustainability and Fashion design in Florence Italy, which will now shape her ethos moving forward. Additionally, Veronica is currently working on a slew of personal projects to create accessory and clothing items out of disposable and single-use items Beer Bottle Caps, Cigarette Boxes, disposable vapes, and old denim goods.
Costume design is an intimate art that gives you a window into a character's soul and life. Veronica wants to create costumes with varying levels of character analysis within them. Everything must have a purpose and add emotional depth to a character's story. Veronica specialized in Digitally painting, collaging, and rendering within Photoshop and the adobe suite.
Veronica Is currently working with Dunsel.us a company that prides itself with sustainability and producing product made out of sails and other forms of marine waste. She directed and performed in a Performance art piece, "A Comprehensive History of How veronica Dalton is a Bad feminist: In the mind of a 20-year-old" based around an exhibition of her mixed media collages. Additionally, she was the Event Director of The Closing Act: Muse a Lexicon of Time and Fashion and the Deputy Merch Director for the non-profit Muse Tallahassee. She was an Apprentice at the Glimmerglass Opera Festival for the summer of 2022 and the asst. Costume designer for the Palm Beach Shakespeare festival in 2021.
